Members of Market Harborough Youth Netball Club, including players, coaches and parents, braved cold conditions recently to help their local community by collecting discarded litter from the grounds surrounding Harborough Leisure Centre.
The litter pick marked the club’s second Environmental Day of the 2025/2026 netball season and resulted in eight full bags of litter being collected. Equipment for the event, including litter pickers, was kindly loaned by @Teddington, with the grabbers originally donated by Keep Britain Tidy.
The club thanked Harborough Leisure Centre for its ongoing support of the Environmental Days programme and confirmed plans to return later in the spring. Working alongside Everyone Active, volunteers will help plant up the community vegetable beds that were recently cleared as part of earlier environmental activities.
Market Harborough Youth Netball Club continues to combine sport with community action, encouraging young players and their families to give back to their local environment. Thank you to all those who turned up and got involved.
